Black Lives Matter Protests in Oakland & San Francisco.

The Black Lives Matter protests in Oakland and San Francisco were my first experience with documentary photography. I was not just taking photos. I was witnessing and recording a moment that mattered. It showed me the power of the camera to tell real stories. The power of my camera grew as I did, no longer taking photos of an ocean wave, but humans with the same power.
